IWS Holdings was founded in the 1980 by Mr I W Senanayake (more popularly known as Arthur) - to pioneer leading technologies and innovations to his homeland - Sri Lanka. His vision, determination and savvy business acumen saw a success story unfold in spite of civil unrest and volatile economic climates.

Annika Senanayake graduated in Management Studies from the University of Nottingham Business School. She heads Corporate Planning at the IWS Holdings Group and is the Chief Executive Officer of ART Television Broadcasting Company within the Group. Ms. Senanayake is CNN’s official business representative for Sri Lanka.
She is an Independent Non Executive Director at Sampath Bank PLC, holding this position from January 2012 and holds the following committee memberships. Chairperson of the Board Nomination Committee, Member of the Board Strategic Planning Committee, Member of the Board Treasury Committee, Member of the Board Human Resources & Remuneration Committee, Member of the Board Integrated Risk Management Committee, Member of the Board Marketing Committee.
She is a Director at RAD Productions (Private) Limited and is a Trustee of Youth Business Sri Lanka at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce and Trustee of the Ray Wijewardene Charitable Trust in Sri Lanka.
Alexandria Senanayake is a graduate from Clark University, having double majored in Business Management & Theatre Arts at Clark University in Worcester, MA, USA. Shortly after, her career began at Porsche Cars North America, Inc in Atlanta, GA working with the Dealer & Retention Marketing team to support 225 dealers in the US & Canada.
In 2006, she moved to Singapore to get experience in the world of PR & Marketing working at Saatchi LAB and subsequently with UP Brandbuzz, handling client accounts ranging from Citroën, Suntec Exhibition & Convention Centre, 313 Somerset and Singapore Customs, among others.
Alexandria moved back to Sri Lanka in 2010 and joined the family business, getting involved with the IWS Group - Automotive sector. She spent the next 6 years, as Managing Director of Eurocars (Pvt) Ltd, heading the Porsche Sri Lanka importer and dealership operations. In 2013 Alexandria was invited by Porsche Asia Pacific to participate in a pilot project – “Porsche Dealer Academy” spearheaded by Porsche AG in conjunction with the University of St. Gallen in Switzerland. One year later, having completed 5 different modules in 5 different countries, she graduated in 2015, not only as the first and only woman represented in the program but also as the youngest candidate.
As part of her role at IWS Holdings, Alexandria also handled special projects under the IWS Automotive sector including the strategic planning for Volvo prior to its official re-introduction to Sri Lanka in 2016.
In early 2016, Alexandria took a break from her role at IWS Holdings in order to pursue her other personal interests in the health and fitness industry. She is now a qualified RYT 200 certified yoga instructor, CrossFit coach and co-founder of Sri Lanka’s biggest and most equipped CrossFit box in Sri Lanka – CrossFit Ceylon.
