October 10, 2014 (Colombo) – IWS Aviation (Private) Limited commences domestic helicopter charter operations in Sri Lanka.
With the immediate commencement of commercial helicopter operations, IWS Aviation will manage charter services with their Bell 206 B3 Jet Ranger helicopter from their operational base at Ratmalana Airport. The initial roll out of Heli chartered services has the capacity to seat 4 passengers with air conditioned comfort.
The Company plans to offer domestic charter operations for a range of requirements including private and VIP transfers, scenic flights, City hopping, special Excursion flights, Aerial surveys, Aerial photography and/or filming, International airport transfers (domestic only), Sports & News coverage.
Commenting on the launch of their new helicopter charter service, Mr. Arthur Senanayake, Chairman of IWS Holdings said, ‘Helicopter charter provides a fast, flexible service for business professionals and those on holiday. We expect our service to be popular with business executives as well as with those in the leisure sector, as helicopter charter enables customers to land conveniently at hotel locations and places of interest’.
